Get one of these before you visit national parks in the #USA. Any ranger kiosk will sell them! UPDATE – the park service now allows only ONE user per card. With over 60 national parks in the United States of America, you might be on a long vacation, or travel to at least 3 or 4 different parks during the year. Because a vehicle pass averages at about $30 per each (some parks charge less) it's really your best option to get the $80 pass. Motorcycles might pay less money, and there are also park-specific passes that let you go back to the same park, unlimited for one year. The park specific passes are only slightly cheaper than the annual pass. These annual pass cards have the words "America The Beautiful" currently printed on the front, and you might as well hold onto them as a keepsake. The park service now allows only ONE user per card, but that means when you drive into a park, every one in the vehicle may enter, with one card. But you cannot pass the card off to a friend or other user to use it separately, without you. PRO TIP: If you're buying your pass near the end of the month, ask the park ranger to give you "a few days grace" and round back to punch a hole on the previous month. This is how the rangers will know when the card expires, next year.
