Our location: Liberty Apartments was built by real estate developer William Wagener in 1987 as a personal home as well as long-term apartment rental. Now managed by his son, Adam, it has become Liberty Vacation Rentals and is a great option for travelers looking to save money, compared to hotels, and have a vacation rental experience. The carpeted units are located in a quiet area, home to some of the freshest air in the country. Nestled alongside the Grand Escalante mountains you’ll have a great view of nature, in addition to being just 7 miles from Lake Powell at Lone Rock Beach. There is only one restaurant in our small town, the yellow food truck on Cannon Ball street. More restaurant options are available in Page, AZ. Guests are recommended to bring groceries to use in their kitchen, complete with microwave, fridge/freezer, stove/oven, cookware and utensils. Each unit also has a fireplace, 1.5 bathrooms, living room with game table and couch, a dining area, and a laundry room.
We love this area and all it has to offer. When they aren’t busy spending time with guests, they are swimming or kayaking at the lake, or exploring Zion Canyon, which is their favorite. Ask for tips and recommendations on how you can save money on your sight-seeing, as they have experienced many of the local tours and monuments for themselves.
About this area of Utah: Big Water is located in the “Grand Circle” of Southern Utah, close to many destinations, including Lake Powell and Lone Rock Beach. Southern Utah is famous for incredible scenery, magnificent arches including the Rainbow Bridge monument, red rock pinnacles and formations, balancing rocks known as “hoodoos”, the brilliant sunsets, and deep canyons including Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Zion Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend. All within minutes or about one hour of the Big Water area, and Liberty Vacation Rentals. Maintained highways run between these destinations and access is possible year-round. Some of this country is remote and rugged, with many miles between gas stations, so plan your trip carefully. Avoid much off-road exploring when using smaller, commuter vehicles. It’s helpful to have an “America The Beautiful” card (national parks pass) for easy entry into most locations.
